Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time and beat well after each.
Mix all dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into greased or sprayed 9x13 pan.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 min. or until done. Let cool for 5 minutes and then poke holes in it and pour all but 1/2 c. of the following caramel sauce over.

FROSTING
1/2	Cup	reserved caramel sauce
3	Cup	powdered sugar
1	tea.	vanilla
2 - 4	Tbl.	milk (as much as needed for spreading consistency)
